Composition:

Each 1 ml contains: 

Thiamfenicol 250 mg.

Properties:

Thiamfenicol is a bacteriostatic semisynthetic broad spectrum antibiotic belongs to Chloramphenicol. It produces its antimicrobial activity by binding to 50S ribosomal subunit of the organism resulting in inhibition of microbial protein synthesis. 

It is effective against most G -ve bacteria incloding: E. coli ,Pasteurella multocida ,P. haemolytica , Salmonella spp. , Proteus vulgaris & Haemophilus somnus and G +ve bacteria including Streptococci & Staph aureus.

Target species:
Pre ruminating calves & broiler chicken.

Indications: 

It is used for the treatment of respiratory and intestinal infections caused by organism sensitive to thiamfenicol as: 

• Pasteurellosis caused by Pasteurella multocida. 
• Bacterial enteritis caused by E-coli & Salmonella. 
• Treatment of secondary bacterial invadors associated with chronic respiratory disease (CRD).

Dosage & Route of administration: 

Route:

Taken orally via drinking water or liquid food..

Dose:

–  For broiler chicken:

1.6 – 2 ml of the product / 10 kg b. wt. per day for 3–5 days.

– For Pre-ruminating:

1.6 – 2 ml of the product / 10 kg b. wt. per day for 3–5 days.

Warning & Precaution: 

Not to be exceed the recommended dose as it causes dismicrobism and/or fungal supper infection incompatibility.

Contra-indications:

• Not to be used in animal hypersensitive to thiamfenicol. 
• Not to be mixed with solid animal feed. 
• Not to be used with chickens produce eggs for human consumption.

Side effects:

No side effect in the recommended dose.

Withdrawal time:  

Pre-ruminating calves: 35 days. 

Broiler chicken: 4 days. 

Storage condition:

Stored at temp not exceeding 30 ᵒC.

Package: 

250 ml , 500 ml in Opaque (HDPE) plastic bottle sealed with aluminum seal lined inside by (HDPE) plastic film closed by opaque (HDPE) plastic cap with an outer label.
