Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic which has a bacteriostatic effect on susceptible microorganisms by binding to 50S ribosome & inhibiting protein synthesis. It’s spectrum of activity include Gram positive bacteria (Clostridium) , Gram negative bacteria (Campylobacter,Pasteurella spp ,Lawsonia intra cellularis) & Mycoplasma spp.
Myvaxtylo is used for treatment of Poultry :
– CRD caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum.
– CRD caused by Mycoplasma synoviae.
– Necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens.
Route of administration: Orally via drinking water.
For whole product:
Poultry : 110 gm of product/2000 kg.b.wt in drinking water / 3-5 days ( 0.5 gm/1 liter )
Bacteriological sampling and susceptibility testing are recommended.
Under-dosing and / or treating for an insufficient length of time are considered to promote
The development of resistance in bacteria and should be avoided.
Do not use in cases of known hypersensitivity to tylosin.
Do not use in cases of known resistance to tylosin or cross-resistance to other macrolides.
Do not use in animals with hepatic disorders.
