Vaxlinco is a synergistic combination of lincomycin and spectinomycin.
Lincomycin is a lincosamide antibiotic, it is bacteriostatic antibiotic acts by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of susceptible bacteria thereby inhibiting peptide bond formation and protein synthesis. It is active against gram positive bacteria, gram negative bacteria and mycoplasma spp. including mycoplasma gallisepticum.
Spectinomycin is an aminocyclitol antibiotic , it is bacteriostatic antibiotic acts by binding to 305 subunit of bacterial ribosome and inhibiting protein synthesis it is active against gram negative bacteria including E-coli as well as mycoplasma spp (including mycoplasma gallisepticum).
Poultry
In cattle: it is active against the following species: Vaxlinco is used for the treatment of chronic respiratory diseases (CRD, Airsacculitis) caused by mycoplasma gallisepticum & coliform infection (E.coli).
Route: Orally via drinking water.
Broiler chickens: 75 gm of the product/ton b.wt for 7 days (i.e 75 gm/100 liter drinking water)
Store at temperature not exceeding 30ºC in a dry place to be used immediately after reconstitution.
